What a race!  The 2014 Ventura Outrigger Challenge is behind us but its never too soon to start planning for 2015! Look forward to seeing you next year!



Hokuloa Outrigger Canoe Club is proud to once again host the 2015 Ventura Outrigger Challenge. We welcome you to race in our waters, lounge on our beach, visit our vendors, enjoy our food and drink and most important, bring your A game!  

If you've raced with us before you know the Santa Barbara Channel is situated right in the sweet spot of all things 'swell'.  As a result, our race generally has the best on the water racing conditions with a course that is optimized for a fun and exciting downhill run for home!  That swell always pushes us home to Ventura Harbor.   And, unlike other races, when you launch your canoe from our beach you are minutes from the ocean start line.  No multi-mile paddles to get outside the harbor!

If you've not raced with us before, we encourage you to sign up, show up and get ready to whoop it up. 





While you get ready to race the family can enjoy the Harbor Village shops or visit Channel Islands National Park Headquarters, located right across the beach from our launch point.  With a world class tidepool exhibit, book store and auditorium, there is something for everyone!
